So much for betterment. Using shock therapy etc was more of a ripoff than gentle guidance with understanding. There are more malpractice out there that are still not shut down. The nation had state mental hospitals for so many decades and most people did not find anything wrong with their existence. Now it's the other way around and apparently they do not see anything wrong with letting sick individuals freely running amok who parrots their feelings and demands.
