Backstory:
The Red Machine Party Bus was the brainchild of my dad, Robert Galicia in 2013. Born in Mexico City in 1978, and immigrating to Kansas City in 1982, Chiefs Kingdom welcomed Galicia, and a lifetime of fandom was born.
2013 also marked the beginning of the Andy Reid era, spearheaded by the signing of former 49ers Quarterback Alex Smith. Tailgating being the lifeblood of the Chiefs' gameday culture, Galicia decided to create his own tailgating experience: The Red Machine Party Bus.
After purchasing a retired school bus, modifications included wood flooring, an LED arrowhead, custom seating, and a racing red paint job that would lay the foundation for 10+ years of tailgating and everlasting memories.
Fast forward to today, alongside Mark Coronado who became a partner in 2023, The Red Machine has traveled to different cities around North America such as Denver, Indianapolis, Chicago, and even Mexico City. Now equipped with two buses in their fleet and an extension to Taco Tours around the KCK area, I felt it was important to showcase what a tailgate in 2024 with The Red Machine was like.
