My Father showed me this song in the 7th grade. This song was a favorite of his. It was also one of the first records I had ever heard from him. I lost him a week before Christmas this past year, and I still am in disbelief. This is the man that held me on his lap as a little girl, while he strummed on his Fender acoustic guitar. He taught me so much about God, music and life. Rest In Peace, precious and beloved soul. I love you Dad. 💜🎶✌️🕊️🙏☮️🕯️

@@martinherrera4907 I always got it messed up for Scorpions Wind of Change (because of the “Wind” in the title) and I even have read some in comments say how one band or the Scorpions hit is better, or this is better than that, but I’ve come to my own conclusion in that they’re both uniquely their own and are amazing all on their own. Personally I think Scorpions are the better band over Kansas, but both had their own original sound and their reasons for the songs were different. It would’ve been cool to see them trade covers of each other’s songs.

From what I gather the music from this song was the guitarists warm up practice scale. He played this before playing live. Apparently he played it over and over so often, the lyrics came to him. @cheryldeboissiere1851 Жыл бұрын
Hmmm... thanks, I may have to check that out, James... In answer to why they don’t write music 🎶 like this anymore, I was alive and crossed over into adult during this era... What happened as a nation was we had just come out of a long and fruitless war (Vietnam), now the fear of being drafted was gone for men, the fear of losing someone you loved or thought you could love for the rest of your life was gone... the late 1970s became a time to look back on what we had wasted time, lives, and money on... Sad contemplation was common. Wondering what we had done, what we had wasted time on, what was the purpose and why no accomplishment... why it had happened... all of it was much on people’s mind... The bills started coming in for wasted years, wasted money, wasted lives... and all for what? What had it been about?, people were asking... There was a sense of sadness, sometimes of stupid but mostly of sadness, our leaders, our politicians were stupid... they never understood the Vietnamsee 🇻🇳 or the system of oppression they had undergone as French Indochina... Now don’t even try to judge the French, they bought into the lies and believe in the good judgement of leaders as stupid as our own... Dreams of empire faded and no one remembers them and what they were... except maybe morons who think those times were easy and full of affluence and wealth... Empires come at the cost of small people who build them... They make demands on those higher... Empire without vision, without understanding is stupid... The next era was about greed. It was about theft. And this era is greatly about lies and games by assholes with greedy minds, often dead hearts, and shitty preoccupations...

My new subscriber, I am 54 years old now from Latin background. My babysitter's used to be hippies back in the '70s love them to death learn so much from them. They expose me to all of their songs that used to listen to this was one of them, also the tin Man, the horse with no name from America ☮️ any song that they listen to I loved. For some reason this one is the only one that makes me cry, because it's so real it's facts! This is what all humans are where are dust in the wind, once we die we rot and we're turned into dust. Like the song says at the end, not even money will buy you a minute on this Earth I love this song so much ❣️. Adore the acoustics in this song the mixture of the guitar and those beautiful violins wow I'm in love. My son is a violinist he started playing the violin since he was 10 and every time he plays it reminds me of my childhood. Yes happy memories but it's sadness as well, because it's saying the truth about who we are on this planet!! "DUST IN THE WIND". The rest will just fall in line in complete peace.. That is what I see as this vision of me dancing like a young girl dress flowing with the soft ocean breeze And next you know… all of a sudden I feel home. Almost like a completeness I can’t describe the beautiful scenery my mind sees in picture as tho it’s me… I like it there… it’s beautiful Inspiring and inspirational. A time when the music and the songs like this were so beautiful and they have messages, excuse me, but no the most of the garbage of today

These songs have a much greater meaning today than when they were current hits... Iget them now like never before... is it too late to apply them to my life in my years... only one way to find out.. cast it to the wind.......

Lyrics I close my eyes Only for a moment, and the moment's gone All my dreams Pass before my eyes, a curiosity Dust in the wind All they are is dust in the wind Same old song Just a drop of water in an endless sea All we do Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see Dust in the wind All we are is dust in the wind Now don't hang on Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky It slips away And all your money won't another minute buy Dust in the wind All we are is dust in the wind (All we are is dust in the wind) Dust in the wind (Everything is dust in the wind) Everything is dust in the wind (In the wind)

Laid my brother to bury today and this was a song he use to sing to our mother when he was younger and I kept this song from the age of 8 until now at the age of 51 . Played it for him at his final resting place
