I just tried with a basic 1mm crochet, it works even (just take more care not to catch fabric) ! I think it would be easier with a 0.5mm crochet i don't know ... Great technique anyway !! I'm glad i found it !

@@cloverusa You're very welcome! I have seen a few videos on KZbin that very poorly represent this awesome tool. I use it for a variety of applications and love it! I just completed a series of fantastic butterfly appliques in sequins and beads. This is a terrific tool and deserves much praise.

I did not try yet but the needle looks like the same as Knitting Machine Needles and if so, you can make the handle with Polymer Clay. Here you go with a new needle! :-) Eu nao experimentei ainda mais acho que a agulha parece agulhas de maquina de trico e se for voce pode fazer o cabo com Polymer Clay, que eh uma massa de moldar que quando queimada no forno quente ela endurece. Espero que entendestes. :-)

It's a regular latch hook.
