This movie is great but please dont compare it or any other horror movies to Tumbaad cos Tumbaad is so original that it unintentionally created it's own horror genre,it's a mixture of horror,fantasy,fairy tale and folkore.Tumbaad is like experiencing your old grandfather telling you a folklore as the imaginations in your head runs wild and turns into different forms and images.

Dude, You really deduced it amazingly! This is actually what I discussed with my brother too. That, Dr. Inayat was also his imagination cause No one other than him saw him, even no one even ever saw his photograph, he even mentioned it in the beginning that He will reach there by Eighth day and he has his 'ways'. He even said that he met with others but still wasn't aware what happened beyond 10 hours, but he knew what transpired between Albert and Adam. My only Query is that How he got to that castle which was Dr. Khan's Holiday home if he was just an imagination.

I think when he worked with Dr. Inayat as an assistant he would have visited that Holiday Home with Dr. Inayat himself they would have taken a break or something in that 5 years and he would have known that their is a Holiday Home of Dr. Inayat near the Himalayas so he would have just visited it

The malayalm version had a clear explanation ..Eva was only prithviraj imagining his teacher Mrs mercy..he was bipolar.... Prakash Raj explains to prithviraj... He deep inside had dislike for his son coz he believes he killed his wife .. The Hindi dubbed version did not show that climax ... perhaps they wanted to keep it open ended 😊

What I believe is , director should work on small -small details Now why I'm saying this : in 23:31 , if he wants to buy the dress then there should be he's reflection not Eva's in the mirror in the back. After all many more details are there but this one hit me. we were all watching from Albert's perspective, not from the woman seller's. so it makes sense that he saw Eva in the mirror not himself. and if they would have shown him instead then the director would have lost the main climax of the movie , i.e letting audience decide what they want to believe. because showing him in the mirror concludes that he is sick and eva is not real. but he wants to left us in confusion same as inception , in which audience decide what they want to believe.
