If Panjabi is not your first language you can't understand it fully but i tried to translate. Here it is in 3 languages.. . Lyrics in Punjabi, Hindi amd English ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੰਦ ਜ਼ੁਬਾਨਾਂ ਦੱਸ ਖਾਓ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿੱਦਾਂ ਬੋਲੀਦੈ। ਨੌ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ ਦਸਵਾਂ ਕਿੱਦਾਂ ਖੋਲੀਦੈ। ਬਿਨਾਂ ਤੇਲ, ਬਿਨ ਬੱਤੀਓ ਦੀਵਾ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਜੱਗਦਾ ਏ। ਬੰਦ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਰ-ਆਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿੱਦਾਂ ਟੋਲ੍ਹੀਦੈ । ਰੋੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਆਜਾ ਛੱਲ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੀ, ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣਾ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਦੀ। ਨਾ ਮਸਜਿਦ ਦੀ ਨਾ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਦੀ, ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣਾ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਦੀ। ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਬਹਿੰਦੇ ਆ। ਤੇਰਾ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦਾ, ਉਂਝ ਨਾਮ ਤਾਂ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਆ। ਵੇਖੀ ਨੀ ਵੇਖੀ ਅੜੀਏ, ਅੰਦਰ ਬੋਲੇ ਕੌਣ। ਬਾਹਰ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਦੀ ਏ, ਕਿਤੇ ਉਹੀ ਸੱਜਣ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ। ਚੁੱਭੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਲਾਈਆਂ ਨੇ, ਆਹ ਮੰਨ ਫੇਰ ਵੀ ਗੰਦਾ ਏ। ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਵੀ, ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਦਾ ਧੰਦਾ ਏ। ਬੜਾ ਖੌਰੂ ਪਾਇਆ ਏ ਵੇ ਖਸਮਾਂ ਰੌਲਾ, ਬੜਾ ਖੌਰੂ ਪਾਇਆ ਏ, ਆਹ ਕੁੱਟ ਤਬਲੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨੇ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਦਿਸਦੈਂ, ਉਹ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਹੀ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ। ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਸੀ ,'ਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਦੀਵੇ ਜਗਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਇਹ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਲੱਭਦੀ ਓਹਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਪੁਤਲੇ ਨੇ 'ਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਫੱਕਾਂ ਨੇ। ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਦਿਸਦੈਂ ਉਹ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਈ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ। ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ ਤਾਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਏ, ਲੱਭਣ ਲਈ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ। ਪਰ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਦਿਸਦੈਂ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਬੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ। हिन्दी बन्द जुबाना दस खाओ मैनू किदा बोलीदै। नो द्र्वजज़े खोल के दसवाँ किदा खोलीदै। बिना तेल, बिन बत्तियों दीवा किथे जगदा ऐ। बन्द अखाँ नाल निर-आकार नू किदा टोलीदै। रोड़दे बदीयां बनके आजा छल समुन्दर दी। कोई गल्ल सुनादे अंदर दी। ना मस्जिद दी ना मन्दिर दी, कोई गल्ल सुनादे अंदर दी। पत्थर दी इमारत है जित्थे(यहाँ) जा के बिहन्दे(बैठते) आ। तेरा पता नहीं मिलदा, उन्झ (वैसे) नाम तां लैंदे आ। वेखीं नी वेखीं अड़ीऐ(लड़की), अंदर बोले कौन। बाहर जिनहाँ नू लभदीं(ढूंढती) ऐ, किते(कहीं) ओही सज्जन ना होन। चुभीयाँ(डूबकीया) भी लाइआं ने, इह मन फेर भी गन्दा ऐ। तेरे(भगवान) नाम दी महमा भी, रूज़गार दा धन्दा ऐ। बडा खौरू(शोर) पाया ऐ, वे खसमा रौला(शोर के लिए ही अल्ग पंजाबी का शब्द)। बड़ा खौरू पाया के आह कुट तबले हथां ने। जिन्हा(जिनको) नू तू दिसदा ओह(वह) कोई होर ही अक्खा(आँखे) ने। चारे पासे( चारों ओर) हनेरा (अंधेरा) सी ते कुझ दीवे जगदे रहे। इह(यह) दूनिया लभदी(ढूंढती) ऊंहा (उनको) नू जिहडे खुद नू लभदे रहे। बाहरो सोने दे पुतले ने ते विच(अंदर) भरीआं फक्का(फालतू सामग्री) ने। जिन्हा नू तू दिसदा ओह कोई होर ही अखाँ ने। कोशिश ता कीती के लभन(ढूंडने) दी लखाँ ने। जिन्हा नू तू दिसदा ओह मेरी बेबे( पंजाबी शब्द माँ के लिए) दिया अखाँ ने। ओह मेरी माई(माँ) दिया अखाँ ने, ओह मेरी माँ दिया अखाँ ने। ENGLISH This song is about our practices we perform to reach God. Tells about everything we do is wrong. God isn't something we believe to be. (I tried my best to highlight the exact meaning of lyrics but english is my 3rd language so there can be flaws). Oh tranquil voices, do tell me how to speak How do i open 10th door, once i've opened all nine Where does the lantern lamp shines forever without fuel? How do i find one without shape(talking about God) with closed eyes? Just constructions of stones are those where we go sit ( talking about religious places) But neve do we find where are you(God) although we do prayers/meditate Look out oh demented bride, who is it talking inside you(inner voice) might be someone who you been longing from ages We dived in sacred waters yet our conscience is impure Practices we are told to perform to reach you (God)are nothing but business We make lots of noises (talking about prayers being said) BUT EYES THAT GET GLANCE OF YOURS ARE EXTRAORDINARY/SACRED ONES. It was dark everywhere but a lamp was lit This world longs for the ones who have found real selves On outside we are coated with gold On insides we are self-absorbed. EYES THAT GET GLANCE OF YOURS ARE EXTRAORDINARY/SACRED ONES. Millions have gone beyond limits to reach you(GOD) ,to get a glance of yours.
