When I was returning home by bus today I heard music from those woofers and speakers...Instead of religious and spiritual musical themes that should be fit for temples or worship, I heard disco, techno and sega beats...Also the huge Kawals are not to celebrate the grandeur of Lord Shiva but a carnival-like competition for the most attractive and impressive Kawals...There is a prize to win

Mahashivratree has always been one of the festivals I enjoyed. It radiates joy and togetherness despite the little sacrifices that comes along. It is so sad to see each year people dying just because they want to show off the biggest kawar. Why can’t people learn from past mistakes/deaths? Similar incidents two years in a row. Honestly it is so hurtful to see people in pain and crying.

What is the Kawar made of. What caused it to ignite then burn so intensely? Could the people affected not have been pulled out earlier? It’s so sad. Thoughts are with family and friends at this awful time.

They were inside the structural borders, with the sudden lightning like fire, it was impossible to breakaway. Very sad, hopefully the minority who build big kawarr will learn.

Parmi toutes les personnes présentes prés de ce drame qui a engendré des personnes décédées, aucune personne n'a pu prêter assistance aux personnes inanimées pour leur prodiguer des gestes de premier secours. Il serait bien que les gestes de premier secours soient une priorité gouvernementale pour chaque habitant de l'île sans exception. Des gestes simples qui peuvent sauver des vies.

"gestes de premier secours" ?? mo ena formation secouriste Pa, et aukene part dan sa video la mo pane trouve premier secours ti pou fer 1 moindre difference. Bien au contraire, mo rappel ki kan cables courant impliqués, aussi simple ki sa, nou pa équipés ou knowledgeable pou coster, nou zis capav appel services d'urgences.

My deepest deepest sincere sympathy 😢 to the people who have died . It's a shame that religion makes people stupid , you can have a lot of regulations in place but common sense should prevail too. I don't think Shiva needs such reverence. Prayers should be calm , simple and aesthetic.

Where are the fire bridges? They should be present along the way and ambulance and first aid as well as the police and army. This is not the first incident.
