Shawn Goodson Praying for someone's conversion and salvation is not a worldly thing, right? Our Lord commanded us "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" Matthew 5:44. Certainly we can pray for Kanye and his wife, that they follow a life of righteousness, which is what you had condemned at first, my friend. Everyone makes mistakes. @Shawn Goodson imagine being this cynical. Prayer is not an effort to change God's plan, it's an effort to express your personal convictions about a spiritual issue, and be realigned by God. Prayer isn't for God, prayer is for us, it's a way for God to speak to us and help us understand him and his plan. You sound like a deist when you assume that God just doesn't want to have any interaction with humans, and thinks we are petty or arrogant when we kneel down and sincerely cry out to him. Did God not answer the prayers of Abraham when God was asked to spare Sodom? Did God not bring revelation upon Noah in prayer to tell him to build the ark? Not everything is pre-determined. The divine plan covers a large amount of big events, but it doesn't control our individual choices or wills to align ourselves with God's purpose, and prayer is the best way to do that

It’s just that she isn’t saved at the moment, so she can’t see the truth. I used to be like that. I used to think that I had to dress sexy to attract my husband. I had such a shallow view of what beautiful is. I was selfish. I wanted to shine with pride and confidence, which is what seculars promote. However, when Christ opened my eyes to his truth, I realized that He commands me to be modest (my feelings about it do not matter). I realized my true worth as a daughter to the King of kings. And even though I still felt the pressure to comply with society standards, I prayed to Him for strength to obey his commandments. And so, I started dressing modestly. My husband is elated that I do not show myself around to others and keep my body reserved to him. I get more positive attention from people, as in I get treated with more respect. And most importantly, God is pleased when we obey Him. It is important to note that my outward appearance change happened because of an internal change caused by the truth of Christ and having a personal relationship with Him. Kim doesn’t have that, so she cannot see the err in her ways. The lord says we are blind if we are not walking with him, so I would not hold Kim to a high standard as she is walking blindly. We should pray the Lord works in her through Kanye so she can see she needs Christ as her personal savior.
