Masterpiece. 90% of the crowd didn’t even realize they were in the presence of such a perfect concoction of musical geniuses. This is timeless art right here. And it sucks but I don’t think we’ll ever get anything close to this again.

Get real! That was a garbage rendition of Through the Fire! Play the video for anyone without showing them or telling them who’s singing and they’ll tell you exactly what they think of it. Just because it’s John Legend doesn’t automatically make it “legendary” or “epic”! Chaka Khan would slap the taste out of your mouth for that 💩 take. 😂

I'll never forget the first time I heard this song. I was 15 and just got home from JV bball practice. I put on MTV and this video came on. It had just been released. First single. Idk what it was, it was just DIFFERENT and it struck a chord. I still listen to it all the time and it takes me back. The best music does that, right? Then I bought College Dropout, still one of my favorite albums of all time. I literally wore that CD out! I really miss old Kanye West. He was real.

The reason Kanye is so loved is cause he was our everyman...not a thug, drug dealer or hustler. He was one of us with mega passion. Anyone with drive and willing to risk it all for a dream is Kanye. This is the reason why he is so inspirational and why he influenced artist such as Drake. You don't have to fit into a stereotypical category to be a hiphop artist or anything...you just need drive and unlimited fuel to create your own lane.

I hate when people say “I miss the Kanye” or “I wish Kanye was still like this.” Don’t wish for the past, just be happy you were the experience it. Kanye is my idol now just like he was back then. We all do dumb things. You gotta love this man. Genius!
