This was the ending song to my mothers funeral service. I am a 29 year old man. I didn't know they were going to play it. I could never imagine a more beautiful song and moment. I already loved the song of course.... now it almost ruins it haha I cry like a child. Hey Miss Donda, if you see my Mama tell her I'm lost.....
@gaelbrusau50989 ай бұрын
I'm sorry, man. I can only imagine how hard this must be. It's okay to be lost but don't forget what Donda said: "even if you are not ready for the day, it cannot always be night" Keep moving forward, I'm sure she is and always will be proud of you.

The visuals on this are so simple yet so powerful. It's almost as if this song helps to calm and focus his mind when things get too hectic or thoughts of self-doubt arise. Represented by the morphing of the light into the 3 most basic shapes, the square, circle, and triangle, he is bringing himself back to the basics and blocking out the world in order to focus his true passions.

The part about about next time I look in your eyes will have wings and will fly always make me cry but thank God for a song that can help me connect to my mother and I know that reality of being together has come even if in this life hasn't caught up to the spiritual reality

I'm not gonna lie, this got me in tears and not some "manly tears" bs but more crying like a little baby tears. And I've already watched this few times before. Whatever people might say about him, he is the purest and the most sincere human being/artist to live among us. And it's heartbreaking to see him having a breakdown right now. I really hope he'd get better and take care of himself first and foremost than releasing his new album. So much respect for this man.

Watch, listen and learn. Kids born 10 years from now are gonna ask us what was it like seeing Kanye perform? What was it like buying a new CD of his? Just like we admire past artists from the 90's even 70's of all genres/art, we in our generation of 2015 are watching an icon that's only in his mid 30s.. Quincy Jones is how the fuck old? Imagine who Kanye West will be at age 60. Although Kanye can have his moments, he's undeniably one of (if not) the greatest artists of our generation. #YeezySeason

"What was it like buying his CDs" hahahahaha "Yeah man, I like walked into the shop, took the CD to the counter and handed over money and they put it in a bag and left...it was awesome!!"
@SnoopGorilla10 жыл бұрын
McCann82 no, it's not what you did when you bought the CD, it's the feeling you get when you buy a CD that you've been waiting for. the feeling and the anticipation you have for the album. the fact that you actually have a physical copy of something, and supporting the artist that dropped the album. in the future, everything will happen online, either if you buy it on iTunes, or download it. it's not the same as actually having a physcal copy of it.
@mccann8210 жыл бұрын
SnoopGorilla kids in 25 years aren't going to give a shit about people catching feelings about purchasing a CD back in the day. The question will never be asked. In 25 years kids will have their own generation star and know exactly the anticipation of waiting on new music from them.

That right there... That is the Kanye that I love! What an emotionally powerful preformance! While I wouldn't want him to sing slow songs all the time... I would like him to start preforming like that again. Meaning... heart and emotion! Kanye use to give every single preference so much heart and emotion. When The Watch the Throne tour came to Madison Square Garden in New York City... I am incredibly fortunate to have been able to attend nor only a show.... but a Madison Square Garden Show! They did two shows at Madison Square Garden... I attended the 11/7 show... the reason I remember exactly which one I attended... is because... I totally remember saying that if I was able to afford it... I would have came back and attended the 11/8 show. Yes... it was that incredible! One of the best parts for me... was not planned. Jay-Z said something along the lines of... I know I'm about to get fined for this... they turning the house lights on... but I don't give a F! What followed was the most incredible 15-20 minutes of Jay-Z picking random songs of his and absolutely KILLING IT! ( Kanye did take part a little bit.) Anyway... after Watch the Throne... that's when I pretty much stopped enjoying Kanye's music. .. except for the occasional song. (Only one.) Man... I truly miss the old Kanye!

As I lay me down to sleep I hear her speak to me Hello 'Mari, how ya doin'? I think the storm ran out of rain, the clouds are movin' I know you're happy 'cause I can see it So tell the voice inside ya head to believe it I talked to God about you, he said he sent you an angel And look at all that he gave you You asked for one and you got two, mmhm You know I never left you 'Cause every road that leads to heaven's right inside you So I can say Hello, my only one, just like the mornin' sun You'll keep on risin' 'til the sky knows your name Hello, my only one, remember who you are No, you're not perfect but you're not your mistakes Hey, hey, hey, hey Oh, the good outweighs the bad even on your worst day Remember how I'd say Hey, hey, one day, you'll be the man you always knew you could be And if you knew how proud I was You'd never shed a tear, have a fear, no, you wouldn't do that And though I didn't pick the day to turn the page I know it's not the end every time I see her face, and I hear you say Hello my only one, remember who you are You got the world 'cause you got love in your hands And you're still my chosen one So can you understand? One day you'll understand So hear me out, hear me out I won't go, I won't go No goodbyes, no goodbyes Just hello, just hello And when you cry, I will cry And when you smile, I will smile And next time when I look in your eyes We'll have wings and we'll fly Hello, my only one, just like the mornin' sun You'll keep on risin' 'til the sky knows your name And you're still my chosen one, remember who you are No, you're not perfect but you're not your mistakes Hey, hey, hey, hey Tell Nori about me, tell Nori ab- I just want you to do me a favor Tell Nori about me, tell Nori about me Tell Nori about me, tell Nori about me Tell Nori about me, tell Nori about me Tell Nori about me, tell Nori about me Tell Nori about me, tell Nori about me

Why doesn't he use the auto tune he used in 808s? He sounded really good in that whole album. I've never him seen him use that type of auto tune since that album. It's weird...is this just him tryna maintain that 'chicago influence' or w.e cus it's the same auto tune he's used in Yeezus and College Dropout, two albums he has tried quite hard to give off a 'chicago feel'.
@ryanvafaei21454 жыл бұрын
I think that 808s had a much more distorted version of autotune which made the vocals sound more raw and harsh which matched the feel of the album. Songs like this are less raw and harsh so he uses cleaner autotune vocals. (Also I'm aware I'm 5 years late)
@kylerk8064 жыл бұрын
Ryan Vafaei yeah 808 would be too distorted for this type of singing honestly.
