It’s not, people think the stem player is some magic device that can change the beat or put other feature parts on it, when in reality you will only have what’s on the album. This track is just a weird interlude there’s not some secret plan behind it to market the stem player. What might happen is that Kanye updates the song before the player gets shipped, but also unlikely when you think about it having not changed since the first listening party. You can disagree but you’ll see when the device comes out.

Ok, I could be reaching, but hear me out: I think Kanye did this song like this to represent how he feels about his success without his mother around anymore. There's no drop because that's the part of the beat you get hype to, the "celebratory" part so to speak. Kanye has no "celebratory" part when saying, "Look mama I made it". So this version of the song is "dry" and incomplete to represent that I guess Idk, I'm really trynna make sense of this 💀

I think Kanye was trying to highlight his own creativity while also showcasing the sheer power of Pop's lyrics and delivery. Yes, the version on Pop's album is superior as a pure track, but on Donda, it's seems to be borderline unsettling version of that track. Made Pop feel like a lingering soul above the entire track. Idk if you know this, but there’s a better quality version on Pop Smokes new album, Faith.
@cuffmeincorporated2 жыл бұрын
I feel like the bad quality is due to pop smoke being dead and it's actually quite sad hearing him say he "made it" whilst being cut short. Bad quality is supposed to make you feel further away from him, like his life was left unfinished and this is what you get. Kanye wanted pop but he could only get him in this condition. That's why I think this song made the record.

This song just went over everyones head. The track is suposed to be distorted and unfinished because pop died. It’s suposed to sound like its not done because he died and thats all thats left. Yall need to get off Ice Spice lyrics and start thinking again about what ur hearing.

This so epic, he played pop smokes rhythm with a asr10 sampler & the keys looped. The spirit still lives, ghost of pop smoke on this🔥
