Kanye and Cudi has had a similar public response to their music in the last 8 years. It has always been "I miss the old Kanye/Cudi". I see this song as a reflection on the insecurities of having an audience of millions to please. The last part of this song and the follow up track "Freee" on KIDS SEE GHOSTS is Kanye and Cudi freeing themselves from expectations and releasing whatever they want.
