Apart from the "blood stains the Colosseum doors" line, I think the decision to use this particular song for the Gladiator II trailer has to do with its story. Even though we only got a glimpse of it, I´m sure it´ll have to do with, as most of Roman Empire related movies, opression from the powerful, injustice and rebellion. Noah VdBlock Its more than just politics...its humans as a whole, particularly in liberal(in the definitive sense-to imply fewer restrictions and more freedoms-not the political) first world countries. Societies were originally put in place to allow groups of people to support one another for the good of all therein. Everyone had a place, and the value was on people, not the society. Modern society has become so over inflated and corrupt that it has become a self sustaining system...meaning it can tolerate massive loss of human life and keep functioning, therebye assuring society is not in place to support people...it is in place to support itself. Humans are an expendable food source, complacent, blind, and dumb...humans have literally become herd animals. sheep. they are so simple they think that society is in place for them...thus, when things go wrong, they immediately start to stampede, and they tear down anything and everything they can reach, and blame everyone but themselves for their problems.

People are becoming less dependent on religion nowadays. Even I am among one of those people...And don't mind the icon T_T idk but that song has a lot of meaning to it. Is it bad? to a heathen like me, no, but to men of religion, they see it as a real eye-opener about the harsh reality of fact vs. faith.
