james, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:1-8

The relationship he had with his mother was something I have never seen before especially on the documentary. He never interrupted her, he never spoke over her, he took it all in and his mother would say his name a lot which is an excellent form of communication it releases dopamine and the other feel good chemicals in the brain. This burst of excitement makes people happy and sends unconscious signals such as empathy, trust, and compassion to the unconscious brain. They were so comfortable around each other she knew all of his lyrics. Music can be so deep and it's the ultimate form of expression and he didn't feel judged by Donda and she got to know him on a completely different level which is so rare it would be like letting your parents read your journal or your deep and meaningful conversations on social media. He didn't feel judged by her and she loved them all, Donda is his number one fan! When one of them started to smile the other would contagiously. They would rap together and it was pure sunshine and happiness Hey Mama in the kitchen. I get the feeling his mother was beautiful inside and out. This special and vital relationship was just ripped away he still needed her. He will never get over it. I feel for him so much. Kanye has a gift and he always manages to pass it on to us. I really hope that one day he will get his pure sunshine smile back.

This album hits different when you’re in pain trying to push through. For anybody that didn’t enjoy it I encourage you to give it another chance . These songs are therapeutic. Say what you want about Kanye as a person but when it comes to music, he knows how to collaborate with the right ppl to accurately express these complex emotions. Especially this song and Moon. Jail hits different when you’re pissed off and just trying to keep your composure as well. Great album.

That's me, didn't enjoy it at all when it dropped. Listening it now and sounds way better.
@bazar2021 Жыл бұрын
@@BeverlyCollings-yq8ju yeah I was going through a lot when I listened to it so it resonated for sure. There’s a lot of songs and albums like that for me that when I hear them in a better mood I don’t always appreciate them as much or at all. I feel like within his music you can still see glimpses of the old Kanye. Sure he was always a bit egotistical and emotional, but I feel like the things he has been through have taken a toll on him mentally, some of which he put himself through but things like losing his Mom he couldn’t help. From the documentary it seemed like she was the only person who could always get through to him and keep him sort of grounded. She’s the reason he speaks so much about his relationship with God, & the reason he has that unshakable confidence in himself. I didn’t have that kind of relationship with my pops but losing him changed me as a person. I was early in the process of grieving still when I heard this album, and at a job where I didn’t feel fulfilled that was new for me.

@@dimension7828 yup I love that about music. It sounds so much different when you feel what’s being described. There’s a bit of comfort in it, it’s like venting without having to. Drakes early albums hit harder for me back then because I was dating a lot & in and out of relationships while also seeing friends come and go.

Seeing his documentary really humanized Ye to me. He’s always been such a larger than life celebrity to me growing up. But seeing him at his beginning has been very refreshing. As an artist in the underground, there are a lot of days where I feel like my music is probably never going to take off. But seeing his confidence in himself makes me want to bring the same kind of energy to my own music. Invest in my own creativity. And for that - I’m forever grateful to Kanye’s music. 🔥🙏🏻

You are exactly correct. Donda is absolute fire, but it is also ominous. People need to appreciate kanye while he is here. These type of albums are the kinds i heard from tupac and biggie before they died. Those albums to me were dark and very ominous. I hear that through donda.

God gave His Son so we can live through Him and have everlasting life. God loves you! Believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be saved! This is the Gospel of your salvation 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: You can give your life to God right now. Repent for your sins, trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life. Have faith and say this prayer. "Jesus Lord I know you shed your blood and died for my sins. I know you were buried, and you rose again on the third day. Please forgive me for my sins. I give my life to you Lord. Thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen."

Donda as an album reminds me of post quarantine period. I was 19 and after a lot of thought I decided that I should cut ties with some long time friends. Those were people that I grew up with and I had known them since I was 4 years old. But some people stop respecting you after a while, they get close with toxic and problematic people and don't respect your ambitions and goals in life. Cutting ties with most of them resulted in losing contact with some others. With one of them in particular one of the last times we talked was about the release of Donda and I remember how much he loved it and how many times he put it on repeat. Haven't spoken to him in about a year or so. Things have changed in my life for the better too and the fact that I surrounded myself with people that love and care about me is helping me slowly make a name in my academic field. To anyone reading this, I only have to say that you have to always struggle and aim for the best in your life.

This song is so perfect. Listen to the production. It's so perfectly clean, the subtle effects on each vocals setting a stage to the artists. It's so perfect and clean. I love it so much. Each element, the vocals, the sub-bass, the organ chords introducing the raps, the deathly emptiness. Everything is complimenting each other, it's just so perfect. Also I love the way the bass shifts around from low to high, it's really refreshing. boom boom _boom boom_ . Kanye's vocals have some sort of compression on them, it contrasts with everything else. It's genius.

I just discovered Kanye music really for the first time in the last couple months.. my brother has always listened to him. I’ve been listening to graduation a lot, trying to start somewhere from the beginning. From what I have heard so far it’s so incredibly creative, and all of the songs sound so much more together than other stuff or other artist I mean. It’s hard to explain but everything seems more filled up with all kinds of sounds And seems better on the ears than other music. It’s really motivating also. I’m just getting into his music so there’s so much more to learn. Every once in a while I come across an artist that I know is going to be a lifelong thing. It doesn’t matter that it took this long to find his music. I’m just glad I did. And I’ve really been struggling with life lately even though I’m really trying my best. Sometimes I have too much energy and people are afraid of that, or people want you to live another way and it’s hard to explain that’s not possible. I hope everybody has a good day. Be good to your neighbor. God is real

This is how I felt too when I first got put onto his music, and even now, over half a decade later it's still just as beautiful and has me coming back. You're right, it is a lifelong thing. Ye's a blessing for us all. Welcome to the party man!! :)

I keep saying I’m going to move onto the next album but I just keep listening to graduation, then I come back to listen to this hurricane song, then go back to the album . I haven’t even seen the documentary I feel like I don’t want to watch it till at least get halfway through his albums. I don’t know why but that’s just what I feel like I have to do. I’m glad I’m here also. 😀
