@dewandabrewer48942 жыл бұрын
@@speedanHello Speedan! No, what first attracted me was the title of the music because I am Christian. Because the title references my beliefs, it gave way to permission for me to listen to the song. Now as a Christian, the words of a song mean more to me than the music itself. Other music lovers like the beat, but for me to ever entertain liking a song, the lyrics (words) have to respect my beliefs or I will just stop listening, However, I am also a singer and songwriter so I understand and have experience in music composition. In this piece, Kanye did an excellent job (probably one of best) in blending honest spiritual lyrics (that don't blaspheme or disrespect the One True God) while blending instruments that would be recognized by a sincere Christian (the organ) and instruments (the bass) your average rap/hip hop/pop fan. In addition, in the production, he created an environment where a vocalist could add great vocals. Listening to this song as a singer, I can imagine myself doing amazing vocals with this piece. I apologize for the long response. Real music is truly beautiful art...Most just hear the beat and if they like the beat it is good to them without understanding all that went into the creation.

“it ain’t how it used to be, this the new me so get used to me…” Nothing may quite capture two decades of endearment to an artist who has discovered that staying ahead of the curve is most unrewarding when the fans and the muses keep saying “ I miss the old Kanye…” In some strange way the top line from “Pure Souls” captures the centrality of Kanye as a creative.

@@AlexKOTP the fuck u talkin bout , “the truth is only what you get away with”* thats the bar and is the main chorus of the entire song singed by roddy and ye. it means that simple humans often confuse “the truth” from what they get away with as if that was the entire truth and it aint. Man u need to focus
@ericniesen17752 жыл бұрын
@@AlexKOTP The line means you really get away with nothing. The point is that while men and women may lie to people, God always knows the truth - 'he know every side of you, he can see it birds eye view' - so the truth being the only thing you get away means no matter what you may say to people the truth is the truth and God will always know it. I'm not super religious but this I felt was the overall point of the song. No matter what you do the truth is what it is.

Hello people of 2050, I know that this album is still breaking your mind, but know that in 2021, the year of its release, it is not as listened to as that of other "artists", made for the market and that surely you do not remember.
