Nice little fix my friend I bought a spare spur gear soon as I got mine just in case but it changed the motor to the 35 t so twice as fast I want to make it brushless but I don't want to destroy the gearbox all the diffs👍😎🇬🇧😊

at least she up n running bud that's the main. not great off road now as it has no low down power but great for trails. will be going back to stock gearing though .. I may change motor I not sure yet, hey if you make it Brushless it would make a good video if it detonates 🤣 not sure I'd chance it myself 😀👍

Hi just thought id let you know i have one of these and i have upgraded to a 3000kv brushless with 45a esc ive had no troubles so far gain huge amounts of speed only downside was it doesnt have a crawler mode but its quite easy to hold on the throttle just need to play with my esc settings but its all running on standard pinion and spur and last strip down no signs of damage

How do you take the motor/gear part out? Is it just the screws at the bottom? Thanks

to take the motor and gearbox out take out the 4 screws holding the mount , disconnect the wires and that's it. then just a few screws holding the individual parts on. hooe this helps 👍

@@009ADVENTURES Just about to start it now. I've just finished designing a rear bumper attachement to hold the spare wheel aswell so it isnt hanging on the shell. I'll post it in the Rc clan group once it has finished 3d printing :D

Don't push that plastic pinion too hard,and certainly order up a few spurs and pinions.

it's only a temporary fix just to get her up n running until I get to the shop. it's ok for a little off road but but no grunt in it at all lol 👍

With good maintenance and a lot of grease you avoid problems

Spur gear stripped, normal, a hard use wear this piece, but, an original one fix the problem, I have one pair of this, for the future, and purchase a metal one and a bigger pinion, for proof. Your rig is fast, but mine is faster, brushless power in. Excellent video mate, I like your channel, you're an great crawler pilot and better mechanic 👏👏👏👏👏

thanks :) just like trying to fix things. good job the ammount of breakages in this hobby 🤣 I was happy with the outcome , all the towing and abuse I'm suprised that's all it was. may change the motor for a little more speed but trying to keep as stock as possible on this one 😀👍

I was looking into 35t but we never know, I plan picking a variety up and may swap n change for different use

@@009ADVENTURES the stock pinion is 15T, and the spur is 70T, with a 27T motor, you got torque and good speed.
