What I felt was the main difference is the pitch. On a bowling pitch we have a fair chance of winning the match when batted first or second. But on batting pitch always second batting team will have an advantage

I think,the problem is too much pitch intervention in 23 world cup. With the kind of bowling performances we had from Bumrah, Shami, Siraj and Kuldeep pitch would have been suitable for batting. India would have defended 300+ batting first and would chased the same easily. I think, Injury to Hardik didn't allow India that extra aggressive. We need more seam bowling all rounders. Luckily, we have now Nitish kumar. Ashutosh Sharma, Tilak varma are good finds as well from IPL. Shashank is good, but, at 33 is little too old for investment.
