I thought MAN TGX 2020 sounding kinda good stock signifies a good change but any trucks that came after that suddenly went back to the 2012 with its crappy sound mixing

I wrote this here because your topic on ATS forum was locked due to your long time absence. So it would be great, if you make a small update for new SCS trucks on your ATS soundpack as a Christmas gift to the community :)

Reading the description, if the sound sample are from SCS themselves... I don't get why the sounds don't sound right without a modder remixing it 🤔 Having said that, thanks as always for giving these trucks more reason for me to drive in the game! 🫡

This is what happens when companies, in order to save a buck, don`t hire people qualified as sound designers/engineers to work on those projects... from what I know in SCS, most of their budget goes to recording the actual trucking sounds, and to save on mixing/design they usually ask the recordists or unrelated people to post-work on then... which is a whole different craft. People who master recordings, with all my respect, don't necessarily knows deep down sound design. I`m glad we have ppl like capt. out there doing God`s work with mods.

Today, it seems that SCS messed with the sound of the S-way and managed to make it worse, I would like someone to tell me if it is just my impression or if I am crazy, it seems that they removed the reverb that was created at high revs, making the sound worse.

Salut Kaptain! Merci pour ce son de folie encore une fois, sans ton travail le jeu n'aurait pas la même saveur Je te conseille d'essayer d'utiliser la fonction warp pour reduire la vitesse du simulateur et de faire comme dans la vraie vie, avec la sensation de poids etc En ouvrant la console du jeu avec le tilt il suffit de taper "warp 0.61" C'est ce que je trouve comme le plus proche de la réalité Le jeu sera transformé à présent, et au lieu de jouer à Need For Speed ce sera un vrai simulateur de camions ! 🎉

Génial. Quelques précisions pour pas que tu abandonnes de suite : Le jeu se transforme vraiment et devient LENT. Je suis routier dans la vraie vie donc j'ai un point de comparaison en ce qui concerne la lenteur des camions Il y a plusieures choses à adapter comme la vitesse des clignotants, le timing des feux (surtout le orange) ainsi que le POV de la cabine ainsi que les cligno de l'AI. Vu que t'es le maître des sons du jeu je pense que manipuler ces fichiers pour toi c'est un jeu d'enfant Personnellement je suis à 72 degrés de FOV et j'ai DL un mod pour m'approcher beaucoup+ du cockpit (j'ai aussi viré l'affichage du volant du camion dans le fichier cfg) II y a une période d'adaptation mais la différence est phénoménale. Si c'est trop lent pour toi tu peux toujours augmenter le warp pour que ça te convienne, fais des essais. maintenant le 90 sur autoroute c'est un 90 sur autoroute, c'est à dire que tu aimerais aller plus vite pck 90 on va pas se mentir on se traîne furieusement mais c'est comme ça un camion c'est lent Dans ATS tu peux essayer aussi enlève la bride et vois ce que ça donne dans les zones où tu peux rouler à 80mph Je trouve qu'à 0,61 c'est exactement ça C'est rapide, mais dans un désert ça reste "raisonnable" comme vitesse, en réalité tu aimerais rouler à 160 mais bon xD fais des essais et vraiment tu verras que le jeu s'est transformé et est devenu un réel simulateur Ps : chargé à 24 tonnes accélérer de 0 à 90 sur du plat prend plus d'une minute avec un moteur de 500ch 😀 Ps 2 : le marquage au sol est beaucoup trop long dans ces jeux. Ce qui compte c'est la vitesse de défilement des panneaux. À 90 tu les vois arriver de loin sur autoroute, ils sont archi lisibles et t'as le temps de les lire 10 fois avant qu'ils ne passent. C'est plutôt sur ça que je focaliserai mon attention pour essayer que l'impression de vitesse soit la plus réaliste possible De plus, les immeubles quand tu traverses les villes surtout dans ATS, bah ils sont loin du coup ils passent lentement, et s'approchent lentement aussi Bref, dsl pour ce pavé monstre mais je pense que c'est un réel sujet à approfondir parce que à titre personnel je trouve que le jeu se transforme tellement avec ce paramètre que ça en devient criant de réalisme à un tel point que j'ai l'impression de bosser au lieu de jouer xD
