Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries before 2020 and all 7 continents, we have no plans to slow down anytime soon, and we are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

I recently took a flight to China from Finland. The flight was more full of people, everyone was wearing protective gear from head till toes, we had to go through corona tests and fill in several health apps at the airport before the Chinese escorted us to the centralized quarantine hotel. @anialiandr
@anialiandr 4 жыл бұрын
not quite. The same happens everywhere else. You arrive home and no one is trapping you. You have rights and you have a brain to look after yourself. Having a daddy Stalin managing you is no fun. They have to self-quarantine which is now the norm all around the world. Get educated before you blame.
@plantmuffin9866

@@anialiandr Here in Australia you can only really get in on "mercy flights", the chances of you being able to get in on a normal flight are quite slim. And then you have to go into a MONITORED quarantine for 2 weeks (usually in a hotel or something). Every state has closed off their borders, and in my state you can't even travel between regions in your state. They legit have police check points on every major road. Treating America's response to the coronavirus as "normal" or "acceptable" is ridiculous.

Ania Lian I am educated, most areas do screen and order quarantine for 2 weeks after travelling to another country. There is cases and increasing cases of healthy young adults with no underlying issues dying of COVID Stop spreading bull crap and go earn a PhD before you start feeling like you’re something big on this field next time. Nurses don’t and will not ever have the knowledge and expertise required to make such statements. “As a nurse” LOL I have full respect for nurses but sometimes a lot of y’all act like you have inside information as if y’all are a component in research and virology. Guy tested positive and refused to quarantine in his house.. they had a cop stay there 24/7.. 2. In the 2nd batch of reparation in California there was a guy that after a few day's started showing symptoms and refused to continue the government quarantine for 14 days.. I don't know how many days he was into the quarantine but he went before a judge and they gave him another 14 ma mandatory observation quarantine.. Well, technically Singapore is still one of the safest countries to be in because the government takes screening very seriously and our community cases hasn't spiked at all since the Circuit Breaker started. Dormitories on the other hand, the numbers are rising because the government is screening all foreign workers to make sure that they all get treated if they have covid-19 and treatment is free for everyone regardless of nationality. Up until 7th of march 2020, if you had covid 19 in Singapore, you wouldn't need medical insurance. The free medical treatment right now only applies to Singapore citizens, Singapore residents and long term pass holders. Having said all that, in times like this, it's always good to be back home, close to your family.

Jiel Manabs Yes, Free Medical for COVID-19 only. Perhaps you should read my comment before ranting about not getting free medical services. Free medical services only applies to Covid-19. Even Singaporeans rely only their company’s insurance, Medisave, their own money or their own medical insurance coverage when they fall ill, go for a surgery or when they require any medication for any sickness in normal times regardless of what sector they work in. So if free medical service is what you want, go get covid-19. The fact that you mentioned foreign workers, just goes to show that despite the fact you work here in my* country, you don’t have the slightest clue of what’s going on. Who do you think is paying for the medical treatment for the 28k foreign worker that test positive for Covid-19? Don’t read something without understanding it and try to write a smart arse comment.

Protests in Switzerland LOL I bet those are super polite affairs. They could have stayed put in Singapore. Singapore is managing the problem better then Trump could ever do. No one is protesting lockdown. It is already a VERY clean and safe country unlike the US where people are often pigs in public throwing trash around. In a pandemic I'd prefer a population interested in keeping everything clean over one focused on the alleged taking away of civil liberties.

I love Nate's last line..."it's like we're adults." Thank you for this Vlog. I was telling Kim how it reminded me of how much I miss traveling. For many people, travel days are a hassle and they dread the airport, planes, lines, etc., but there is something about all the energy of going somewhere new, all the people going from one place to the next, that makes me feel like a kid again and creates excitement and anticipation. And of course we think about the both of you and how the last 4 years have been nothing but travel and how there must be a void right now for you and how weird that must feel. Love you both and we're excited to see what's next for you and look forward to the day(s) we can all hang out and travel again. We keep saying how grateful we are to have had such a big travel year in 2019 which culminated in our trip to Thailand and eventually Myanmar (and that was because of the two of you). Thank you both! Stay well you guys! Looking forward to seeing you soon on the Tube! I honestly caught a show by accident about 8 months ago. I am an avid plane watcher and constantly view them on KZbin. One of your vids came up, the one where you stayed in the airplane hotel in the cockpit room. Kara was being goofy and weird and thought ok, I am good, no more of this. But then I stumbled across your Everest week experience and since then, I have been watching current and past vlogs you have done. You have made me a fan, jealous one at that. But you have also shown me the world for what it truly has to offer not just in experience, but humanity and that it still exists. My favorite example of this by far is Iraq! Still can't get your drivers family out of my mind. Loved every minute of it. Anyway, stay safe and really hope you can continue living your life for all of us to see.
