It's crazy rewatching this a few months later and seeing how much everything has changed. Firstly at 11:25, Kara actually felt the need to explain why she was wearing a mask in a public place as at that time it was still not normal to do that, but now if you don't wear a mask outside in most countries, you will be asked to explain yourself. Secondly, at 13:25 when Nate said 'at some point, we're gonna do a better job at exploring the US', little did he know that would come in mere months from this videos filming. Kudos on adapting to the situation so well tho!

For future information: for a mask to be effective at preventing or catching a virus/bug you need to wash or gel your hands BEFORE placing the mask on, then when you take it off you must gel or wash your hands BEFORE you touch it to take it off and then only touch the ropes/elastics. The you should gel or wash your hands after disposal of the mask. Moving the mask once it’s on (sliding it down to talk etc) makes it “contaminated” and it therefore or from then forward provides no more protection or prevention then not wearing one. Hope this helps someone/anyone at this time in the world! If your wearing a mask you want it to work as it should! X

My advice to you amazingly ambitious kiddos is study hard save every penny you get and are able to save from now until you start travelling and always remember cultural respect goes farther then language always ❤ I'm 20 years old and have always wanted to travel like this but I made poor decisions as a tween and teen and it wont be an option until my son is grown and if I somehow make a lot of money LOL but yall could definitely do it

Ok, so I’ve been watching y’all for a while and then started rewatching. This is my first time commenting, but when I grow up I totally want to be like the two of you. Mind you I’m a 43 year old divorcee with two children 19 &16 and a boyfriend of five years. Even though this video is 3 years old I’m still intrigued by it and want so much more in my life. Thank you Kara and Nate for letting me live my dreams through your adventures. 😊😊

Actually, I'm 15 and I like your videos very much. I think your KZbin channel is the only one that showed me (so well) how beatiful the world is and how many nice, interesting and beautiful are its places. Love you guys, you have done a nice work and I wish to travel the world when I will grow up as you did. I wish I could support you with some money but I dont have a credit card! Keep going and know, that we love watching you and your crazy adventure all over the world! P. S. I dont remember to like or to save so much videos from just one KZbin chanell, nice work.

Watching this video in July 2021 is pretty surreal. Kara having to explain wearing the mask since she was a little sick was funny. It looked totally normal to me. Also funny to hear Nate say eventually they will explore the US. Crazy to think what's ahead.....

So after coming home to Nashville, they decided to travel to Singapore? This video didnt explained anything and just confused me. 🤔 No hate im just confused why theyre in SG.
@ta_nya52404 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, but going there seems like a pretty smart move to me. The US are going to experience an extreme escalation of infections (at least, that's what's to be expected considering what we know) , Europe isn't any better right now. East Asian countries have the best prevention systems out there, which is why the situation there never escalated the way it does everywhere else. I wouldn't be surprised if they were quarantined upon arrival and now they can sit everything out in a pretty safe environment. If I could choose right now, I'd go do Seoul, Singapore, or maybe Hong Kong to wait for things to get better again. Since they can, I totally don't blame them.

At the beginning of March they went to the Philippine’s, then had to leave quickly because a travel ban was going to take place. I think they took a flight to the first safe-seeming place they could get to, which ended up being Singapore, and decided to stay there instead of risking traveling again to get to the US, where they’d have to stay with their parents and risk infecting them.

Singapore has done a really great job with containment. They are a small island country with few boarders, so it's easy to keep the virus out and keep track of coronavirus cases in the country. It's one of the safest places to be in the world right now.

Masks, if used properly, are better than not using masks at all. N95 masks are ideal but even surgical masks can help marginally. If masks didn't matter than why in the hell are hospital staff around the world scrambling for both surgical and N95 masks. Any mask they can get their hands on. The idea that your at the same level of risk from COVID-19 droplets with and without a mask is moronic. Use your common sense. Even if the surgical masks help lets say... 30-40% more than not using anything, that's still better.
