Hey fellow sopranos who wanna hit that E, some quick advice. if you have the range,then sing in a very light but nasally tone. It'll put the sound in the correct place so it isn't a strain on your vocal chords. Also, open your mouth as long as possible and sing "hah" rather than "ah".

Jiji Rafelyn Sirening is the best way to widen your range. Do this 30 times a day and it will help get your range higher. If you don't then you will strain as it is not normal for your larynx to go that high as it has not been trained and the muscles are not strong enough to support your larynx at this height. Sirening is the way to go.

Last year, I tricked one of my bullies into singing this with me for the school's karaoke party...I sang the Phantom, and she sang Christine...she did horribly, and during my performance, everyone was floored. It was amazing, being able to outdo her for once. Being constantly bullied and never given a chance in the theatre program, it was one of the best moments of my life. Thank you for uploading this, for a short time there I was known as "The Phantom Girl" and not the pitiful nerd.

If you can’t hit the high E at the end, first of all, don’t feel bad. That note is in a culuratora range, which usually is just inherited or takes a really long time to build. If you want some advice for hitting the note, start to lift your lips using your cheeks when it starts to get high, it will help the sound resonate and sound stronger. ;)

This is a superb video to allow one to sing this wonderful song. I can sing through the song now with confidence, just need someone to sing the male parts! The "ah, ah, ah's" used to prove difficult, not only with moving up the scale, but also keeping enough breath to get through this last section of the song. I have been taking singing lessons through "Verba Vocal" since mid July this year (2017) and I have improved considerably. Through their tests I have found out that I am Mezzo which does allow you to reach lower and higher notes. I could not reach Top C, but I can now, and naturally that helps with this song. I feel you have to get over the top of Top C, and not just "up to it". That is my own interpretation. I can use my breath properly now and I have learned so many techniques which are necessary in serious singing. I have not posted these comments for any other reason only to say that if you want to master this song, then you can, when you have gained in confidence. Hope I have helped some of you.

I just looked at this comment and I'm a tenor and I've improved by a lot by just trying and singing more and more songs that are somewhat higher for my range and I kept giving my voice more potential on singing the ah, ah, ah's but yes, I think others should do Verba Vocal but I think people should do what they want to do with their voices with other vocal exercises and so on and so on to improve themselves without doing one vocal exercise or somewhat along those lines, but thank you for your recommendation for a Verba Vocal and I'll see what it is also if you have a particular videos just reply to my comment if your still around on KZbin and stuff.

I can hit Christine's and Phantoms notes perfectly and it took me 10 years of practising in my room whenever I was alone. Even though I'm an alto I have developed the skill to sing all the high notes and low ones correctly. I guess the five year old me is proud of us lol😂

im a mezzo soprano so i can hit most of the notes EXCEPT the last one where it’s extremely high, and im good at singing in my head voice, but im stronger with my middle voice.
