This is actually a folk dance from Tamil Nadu (originated in Thanjavur). Although Kerala does have karagattam troupes, this particular group is following more of the Tamil Nadu tradition by the dance moves and clothing.

A group of 7members did this song in my school when I was in 7th I guess , they called this dance ( karagam ) even though I don't know that this is not my traditional dance form I enjoyed it a lot . we r dressed up like them and we balanced that small pot and covered it up with a huge thing ...now I recalled it that oh it was a Tamil traditional dance form 😅 BTW I m from andra Pradesh ...I often confuse that whats wrong with the lyrics I m not able to understand a single thing but enjoyed a lot balancing it . the challenge is that u have to balance it through out the song . I thought why do I have to dance to this song where my traditional dance is kuchipudi 😅 ...that's OK , my mom impressed a lot while watching my dance performance on the stage 😊.
