Even though, johnny still uses violence and aggression he seems have payed his share of penance nevertheless, deep down he's got a good heart and is trying to help his students so not only did myagi save danny's life from that last running kick within the original karate kid film - myagi also saved johnny from a lengthy prison so basically johnny became the new mister myagi and Miguel is the new danny Not to mention : johnny temporarily saved Miguel from those bullies outside the convenience store Plus johnny saved Miguels life after that vicious Halloween evening beating

Saw the trailer for the Cobra Kai series, and was intrigued to watch since The Karate Kid was one of my very favorite movies. Therefore, I watched the first episode and then the next and the next....this is the first show I've ever binge watched and I LOVED every episode. VERY well done! The growth within each character is tremendous and I loved how all the original characters came back as well! Who didn't love Daniel-son's outspoken momma, ha! And Mr. Miyagi will live forever in our hearts, his wise words spoken from a humble heart and balanced mind. Thank you to the writers, producers and original cast for believing in this! Can't wait until season 2!

Cobra kai is amazing guys. One of the best written nostalgic throwbacks of all time. The writers did an amazing job of honoring the original films while placing it firmly in current culture. By the 7th episode I was yelling this is amazing at my phone and everyone at the office thought I must have lost my mind. At first I thought it's a gimmick with a few good scenes and maybe a couple of decent episodes with the rest of it best drags. Boy was I wronged! Season 1 was awesome all ten episodes! I finished it in ONE SITTING, that's how great it was! Season 2 now!

I have to admit, this was a pretty great reboot, and I think it’s Zabka who makes it work so well. He really is a great actor. Of course, Ralph Macchio is the Karate Kid, and without him, none of this would work. Kinda wish Pat Morita was still here.

Cobra Kai is awesome! I thought this was going to be a real cheesy show, however, I was immediately hooked after the first episode. The cast did a great job with their role, especially William Zabka‘s performance as Johnny. I can’t wait for season 2!

Finished the entire season and it was absolutely amazing. Definitely did the legacy of the franchise justice to the tallest order. No spoilers but there is a major cliffhanger at the end for Season 2

The new Cobra Kai series is pretty good. I'm glad Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are co-producing it, because that ensures the legacy of the films is treated wtih respect (unlike what happened with Star Wars in The Last Jedi. :( If you're a fan of the original Karate Kid movies, you'll probably like the new series. (But if you're not already a fan of the old movies, you probably won't understand a lot of the humor and references in the new series.)

It's the apposite for me. I have a new profound respect towards Cobra Kai. I still don't like their principles with the "no mercy" thing. Still.. a very incredible entry for Cobra Kai as long as it's focus towards self defence. And as for me, Miyagi-do is the one that is closer to my heart. I miss miyagi-san.
