From what I've read on reddit, it's an ambiguous term that has different meanings in the US and Europe. Also, if we focus on the derogatory meaning, it doesn't attack a disadvantaged group in society, but rather a privileged group, so it wouldn't be discriminatory, since discrimination can only be downwards and not upwards. Still, I'd like to know more, so if you have an explanation of why that term should be banned for violating the human rights of a group (like the Confederate flag you mention does), I'd like to read it.

Most likely it was the stylist who had him wear it cuz he wore it on stage as well but he had a jacket on as well. But I've seen lots of ppl wear this shirt. It's a designer shirt I've seen it go for like 100 to 200 dollars!
