You're imperfections reminds us that we're all human and we all make mistakes but it's more about owning it and taking it in stride and not being afraid to make mistakes. Especially when we live in a instagram world full of filters to show anything BUT the real you. Love you Mark. Sorry for the rant. Cheers.

YES SILENT PLANET IS MY FAVORITE BAND. SO HYPED THAT YOU ARE FINALLY CHECKING THEM OUT Edit: also yes their name is based on the CS Lewis books! Also this song is about his experience in a mental hospital. I believe he mentioned that in an instagram post. If you are interested in any of his lyrics and their meaning, he has videos on youtube with a track by track analysis of their meaning (not sure if trilogy has one or not). But highly recommend checking out some stuff off of Everything Was Sound! I think Understanding Love as Loss, REDIVIDER or Panic Room would be an excellent song to check out next!

Those hardcore shouts are absolutely one of my favorite sounds in metal vocals. The clean onset gives it so much more emotional depth and connection. BUT SERIOUSLY, learn breath support because you will wind yourself from going for those
@noodle8453 жыл бұрын
Yeah, i do enjoy gutterals but they are devoid of emotion! I guess that's the point of them, to sound like a powerful demon! With hardcore vocals it reminds me of how someone would scream at someone in an argument, which connects with human emotions more. Vocals are interesting though eh 👍

I love these guys so much. If you go back to their previous records you can hear so much growth in their sounds and vocals. Especially in Thomas (the clean vocalist) you can tell he’s practiced and trained his voice to hit those higher notes better and better each album. Even live both his and Garrett’s vocals are so good a powerful. They’ve been together for a long time, and work together on each album/song. They’re teamwork I’m hoping will keep them playing together for a long time to come!

I think you’d have a good time listening to Above, Below and their newest single Melting Amber. They aren’t a big band but the vocals are a little bit different than traditional metalcore/prog vocals.
