KARE and WCCO came to Winnipeg cable TV subscribers in 1996. I was constantly amazed at the high quality of their feature stories. A coworker of mine put together a reel of national award winning features and finalists from those stations and KSTP. We used to show that reel to our television students as evidence of the quality that emerges when creative people at all stages of the production are given all the time, resources and guidance they needed to excel, week after week.
