Christmas was my grandmother's and mother's favorite holiday, Thanksgiving was 2nd. My grandmother passed away in 2002, my mother in 2018, and this past January my grandfather. Pretty much my whole family is now gone. The holidays are extremely difficult for me as I never married and never had kids...its just me at the house now, its hard...even day to day its hard...I used to come home from work and talk about my day with family, we'd discuss everyone's day, what everybody did, things we need to do, etc. After my grandfather died a few months ago, I realized wow, I now have nobody to talk to at all. Even with grandpa's health failing he'd always ask how work went. My grandmother and mother always spent the holidays cooking and baking....grandpa always tinkering on something. Everybody is gone now, the holidays are just dreary and lonely. I can only wish to be able to leave money to a few places in town that have always treated me well. Maybe enough money to build the kids in this town a proper community fun center for multipurpose activities....they have nothing here for them, and we have a lot of homeless children here in this small town, its just sad to think about...every year there's a local small town shop that has a Christmas tree on a table with little notes on it from the homeless kids with lists of what they need/want. After all the years last year I was finally able to fulfill 2 of those lists for a couple of kids. I only wish I could fill every one of them. When I was in the Army National Guard, every holiday season we would pickup gift baskets from a group in town that assembled them, and deliver them to families in need around town. Talk about a hard task to do. Delivering and driving all over town isn't the issue, its seeing the little kids who may not have had a Thanksgiving/Christmas meal and presents without the help of random donations and help from the community to put this all together for them. I don't care to receive gifts I want to be able to fill the need/want lists of kids in my town whom may not have Christmas otherwise. Since I don't have kids, I always do whatever I can to help other people's kids.

love the stories, but I to hated to receive a gift . My family refuses to se me anymore, most of my living friends have moved away and abandoned me. I'm disabled also. I use to work 20 hours a week but not my employer now has me working 12 houes a week. I won't have any money to liv on anymore. That's ,y Merry Christmas.
