He is top 3 or top 4 all time, but people shouldn't ignore circumstances of success. Kareem had 2 years in his career where he didn't play with Oscar Robertson or Magic Johnson. Imagine if Kobe had played 18 years with Shaq. Or if LeBron 15 years with D-Wade or AD. Or if KD had Steph for 10 years. You can argue Pau Gasol, Kyrie Irving and especially Russ are great players as well, but it's about 2 all time greats on 1 team. And the Big O and Magic are historically on another level than Gasol, Kyrie or Russ. If u regard these things, the number of chips gets harder to compare. Even MJ had one of the best small forwards of all time next to him on all six chips. From that perspective, the only thing separating MJ is 6 Finals MVP and his teams never losing in the Finals. And the biggest winner of all time, Bill Russell, had 6 hall of famers on his team. All in all it feels like MJ is the real g.o.a.t., but as the NBA is 5-on-5 instead of 1-on-1 it's hard to really prove.

Even Bruce would admit a professional MMA guy at today's level would beat him easily, simply because he wasn't skilled in other forms of martial arts. Kicking and striking, though valuable, can only take you so far. If Bruce Lee had several years of intensive training in high level Brazilian Jiu jitsu, wrestling, take down defense, etc. and gained some real competition experience, he probably could have been competitive in his weight class.

@@onespeedlite 🤦😂 you should probably do a little bit more research on what Bruce can and can't do. Also often time striking can take someone pretty far in mma. I'm a retired peace officer for the US State Department. My post was the Passport Agency in Los Angeles on Wilshire, near UCLA. Kareem came in that day to renew his passport. When he came back to pick up his passport later that day, I was assigned to accompany him to our VIP waiting area because his passport wasn't ready. I'll never forget those 45 minutes. I had to ask him what it was like watching Bruce Lee sparring. He said, "Watching Bruce move was like seeing an alien that wasn't affected by Earths gravity or the laws of physics. He was literally so fast that sometimes your brain couldn't process what it SHOULD have been able to see but DIDN'T ." I could see him reliving the moments he talked about. I'm a fan of both Bruce & Kareem, but moreso Bruce. And as was being said in this interview, it gets harder to move your body as you get into your senior years. If you want to stay fit, then always stay active, even if just walking around. People who do yoga for years, such as Kareem, benefit from this habit, as they keep their body stretched, firmed, toned & strong. And of course, the same is true for those in martial arts.
