I feel like I'm seeing a different Bebo here. There's an aura of humility and maturity I sense in her here. I think it's safe to say, "she's come a long way". I've always thought of her as an artist who knows her onions. Even the critically panned Heroine, she still made it work. I just thought her personal life was always looming behind her craft and not in a great way. So it was hard to take her seriously. But now, it's clear the craft really does matter to her. Kudos to anupama for bringing out such a vulnerable side of kareena forward. For the first time in all her interviews she is looking vulnerable and not behaving like a glam diva. Growth is showing in her words. Haven't watched the movie yet so can't say much about it. However Kareena always had this interesting light around her at least in her expressions in movies like talaash and Dev, chameli etc where she had a good hold of the character in her expressions but not so much in the dialogue delivery plus the industry pushed her as the real life poo which only led her to become this startdom driven celebrity. Now she seems to have found that gap and have worked on it possibly because of the pushbacks she got from losing her fans due to behaviour of an entitled star background. She always had the potential and finally we will see the actor in her coming out. Looking forward to it.

Everyone will praises Vijay and Jaideep way of getting into their roles because they are trained but Kareena is actually mad talented. Her approach to a scene shouldn’t be put down just because she didn’t go to some fancy school. Kareena is really carving an interesting path for herself, sooo different than any of her peers. The only other Indian actress that comes to mind is Tabu herself (and maybe Priyanka if she is still in Bollywood), as we know she is India's finest artist and all of her characters are so different than one another. This is interesting cause when you think about it not even Aishwarya or Madhuri will play Kareena's role here, nor will Deepika or Alia. Kareena is molding herself in between art cinema and blockbuster which is fun and reminds me a bit of Meryl Streep's career choice. She played big box office films and then can go and star in a TV show like Only Murders (which is a fantastic series btw).

The mood and treatment of Jane jan was on point. I loved how the movie from the very first scene sets the whole mood of the entire film.
