I just took advantage of the 'It's Cheaper Than Therapy' sale and added this die and the Parcel Pop Up to my collection. Your cards are so impressive and I love watching your videos. So I couldn't wait to start the Photo Collage and am making cards for my sisters who are twins even though their birthday isn't until Aug. Like your coffee, puppy owl card to your friend Kelly, I love to make personalized card for special friends and family. I just finished a welcome to your new home card with the Spinner Square Pop Up for a friend. Doesn't it make us so happy playing with all our craft supplies while thinking of friends and knowing they get a kick out of our creations! So thanks for your amazing talent and inspiration.

The first time I made this pop-up it was just a practice & it came out great. The next time I think I tried too hard because it was one issue after another. So happy you made this trouble shooting video - thanks. I wanted to make sure my base was extra durable so I cut it out of sturdy acrylic and it worked great. The only thing I had to do extra was make sure the folds were really creased well before affixing the mechanism to the card.

I never realized how easy it is to open a card flat or even past that until I made this card but I have a solution. Right above and below the pop up mechanism I glued in a strip of cardstock about 2 1/2 inches long folded in half. I glued them in to keep the card from going open too far - works perfect & since you can't open too far with those little strips there is no chance of the mountain fold popping into a valley.😁

Karen, can you tell me where you order your photos for this die set? Are you ordering special size photos or do you cut them to size?

If you’re in the USA you can print them at Walgreens. Here’s the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXnaXqpte8ahmKM

What glue do you use?

Hi, what weight of paper do you use?
@KarenBurniston2 жыл бұрын
I like 100 lb. heavyweight smooth cardstock for the spinner base and arms of the Photo Collage. After that any weight can be used for the decorative parts. For the card base itself, a sturdy base gives the best performance, so that can be achieved by starting with a heavy cardstock (100 lb.) OR by using a medium-weight cardstock (80 lb.) and decorating with patterned paper panels. The layers will achieve the same sturdiness. HTH.

I love this die and have used to successfully make numerous cards. However, yesterday I was using it to make another card and it kept ripping. I tried about 5 different card stocks…every one of them ripped - aaaagh! I cannot figure out what is wrong. The only thing I can think is maybe the cardstock is affected by the lack of humidity in the house because the furnace is on…. Is that a crazy idea??? It literally ripped every time! Never happened before. Am going now to try a patch. Fingers crossed.😳
