I believe that Karen always thought that her mothers favourite was her brother, and she came second, also her eating disorder started, when a newspaper called her plump!!! She tried to get well, and when at the end she told people she was well, she was still taking laxatives, which she hid, her heart could not take any more, all this is documented on her autopsy report!!!! What a beautiful Soul. It always breaks my heart to know that the woman who sang, "Sing your OWN song. Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear" gave so much weight to the opinions of the A-HOLES of the world. Nothing makes me HAPPIER, yet more SAD than hearing Karen Carpenter and John Lennon. I always wonder what other BEAUTIFUL music would have been created by them. I saw her tomb before this move, at Forest Lawn in Cypress. Guess what it was New Years Day (decades ago) Richard pulled up with both parents. Richard had a white t shirt on and the dad had a blue blazer on with The Carpenters on the back. The tomb was on the inside before and I just left it as the Carpenter family car pulled up. It was just them and me watching off to the side. On Karen`s tomb it stated: A Star On Earth - A Star In Heaven. I WILL ALWAYS remember that special day in my life. It was very memorable and touching to me. Like millions of others I was a fan of The Carpenters.
