At my work if you leave your desk you have to put your computer to sleep so that you need to enter your password when you come back. We have other security measures as well. Someone designed these spaces. Apparently nobody told them sensitive info would be handled there and nobody trains the employees on security. That seems to be extremely common in these government offices.
