Terrell is so right about meeting Karen. I met the Clark Sisters at the airport in New Orleans one year as we were leaving the essence festival and she was sweet as ever. Dorinda was assisting Twinkie through TSA in her wheelchair so I didn’t want to be rude and ask all the sisters for a picture. So I just asked Karen for a picture and she said yes baby let’s take a picture. So sweet. I will never forget it!

I remember being in foster care and my mom at that time wanted us to be raised with pure gospel praise in us. The Clark sisters Shirley Caesar were our best stepping stones. And Mrs. Karen I drew to you. I loved your music. I truly believe on each side of her cassette tapes there were minimum two songs on each side of the Clark Sisters. She was her own DJ. She didn't believe in commercials. We lived by cassette tapes mainly. My prayer is to meet you. I really admire and look up to you. God gonna make it happen. I went to one of her live recordings in 2005 and at the time I was married and my wife was pregnant with my only child and Karen after having done a whole concert prayed for my wife and unborn child while she was in my wife’s belly. My daughter is 19 now and when I tell you God has favored my child! Understatement. Karen’s voice is literally the soundtrack of my entire existence.
