You see old pics of Karen in Greenwich Village singing around a mic with Bob Dylan & Fred Neil. Great bluesy singer, not unlike Billie Holiday. However, Karen didn't write, and she had problems with codeine, so folk-boom fame passed her by. She finally was able to make 2 albums in the late 60's / early 70's, but retreated from the world thereafter, and passed away in 1993
