Why did Haru avoid Karen at the restaurant, he love Karen.

It was their rule not to let people know about them and karen did so she was actually quite lucky not to get killed for her knowledge about their family. He probably didn't want to get her involved again so he decided not to speak to her.... It's actually quite sad 😢

I do not like the ending. Why did Haru avoid Karen?
