The Neighbors Start A SCREAMING MATCH While I Was Mowing This YARD ($0 CHARGED)

Hope everyone is having a great start to the new year, somehow I ended up catching a bad case of the flu, pink eye and a nasty infection from a century plant. I was able to get ahold of the homeowner and asked if they would allow me to clean up the property for free and they gave me the green light, unfortunately I wasn't able to complete the entire property due to homeowner and the neighbor getting into a confrontation.

This was a huge amount of work for 1 man, in 1 day. Someone neglected the property for a few years. When I see a Cadillac in the driveway...it makes me wonder what's up. I've caught a few clean-up channels and you're the first one I've seen do detailed pruning, cut down a tree, cleaning off the roof, etc. in addition to the yardwork itself. Great work! As far as de-escalation of neighbors, if it doesn’t directly involve you, example the work you are doing, where you are parked, etc., stay out of it. You have no prior knowledge to their relationship and you could make it worse if they think you’re taking the other person’s side. If it gets to a physical level, leave or call the police. Stay safe!

My sister served in the Canadian Army, she was a mechanic. She was injured and had about a year to finish. They were afraid they were going to have to pay a disability on top of her pension; while she was in base hospital they would withhold medication making things much worse. They wanted her to sign papers saying the injury was not related to her service. Her husband moved her out of base hospital to non army hospital and refused anyone from seeing her. The Canadian army and our government seems to abandon their responsibility to our service men and women in need or once they leave the military. Thank you for your service.

Allergies can cause pink eye. My youngest had so many environmental allergies that the doctor allowed me to have medication for conjunctivitis at all times. As soon as she said her eyes were hurting, in went the drops. Thankfully with three years of allergy shots, she finally got past that stage. Pink eye is not fun! With pink eye and the flu, you should be home in bed. Take care of yourself first.

Brother you are 100% right in your warning !!I cut a century plant with a little chain saw that covered me with pulp and juice. Within about 15 minutes I could barely breathe. A friend was driving me to urgent care when I spotted some aloe growing near the road. We stopped and I rubbed/washed the aloe pulp all over my face chest and arms. Luckily the symptom subsided. Very scary!

I would have gone to the neighbor that interrupted your job. She doesn't have to know you were doing it for free. I'd have said " ma'am I'm here to get a job done and all I want to do is finish ". The best way to in a situation like that is to ignore it. Don’t start yelling back. Pretend that person doesn’t exist. If its a person yelling at you then try sweetness. “You catch more fly’s with honey!” If that doesn’t work ignore them, they just want to start stuff.

i have the best method ever! I stay in my home keep my door locked and windows covered and rarely if ever speak to my neighbors. Some times staying to yourself is the most peace and quiet you'll find. Plus you don't have to deal with the drama.
