Last story: OP is way too freaking needy. If he’s working 18 hour days, when he finally gets some downtime texting her is probably the last thing he wants to do, especially daily. And I’d want to know more about their relationship before he left - how long had they been together, had OP always been this needy, did he volunteer to go because he wanted to get away from her? She just comes across as way too needy and has no consideration for what his schedule is like and what he’s doing. They don’t sound compatible and I’d bet anything they break up soon. I hold judgment as to who the AH is though. Not enough info.

​@@aimies I'm a scribe which is probably one of the most mild medical jobs and I sometimes go the entire week too exhausted to text anyone. I will have days where I fall asleep after work, wake up long enough to shower, then go back to bed. This man is a surgeon, working 18 hour shifts, in a third world country. His resources are likely limited. I doubt he's eating when he gets done working, let alone looking at his phone. I'm sure he falls asleep the second his head hits the pillow. If his phone says he's online, it's probably just because his phone is on. Working in the medical field is beyond exhausting. You don't even have the energy to look at your phone.

Though, when I was a freshman in high school, I had a really bad sleep schedule, because I had Insomnia, and when I get home from school, I usually lay down and I just fall asleep. Thing is, I developed Insomnia after starting high school. Before that I had a normal and healthy sleep schedule. Sorry for all that info.

Honestly I think the original poster's significant other in that last story should break up with her, she sounds controlling, clingy, and downright just crazy. also he's a surgeon, I've heard stories were people have had operations lasting 24 hours plus and sometimes you don't get sleep until the day after and she doesn't understand this. Story 1: Honestly the same happened when we got out PS5. Some random lady wanted to buy it off of us and when we refused she called the cops and said WE took it from her, but my dad showed the receipt which pretty much ruined her. Story 2 I feel. I am a part of an amazing team in a small company. I plan on being here for as long as I can, but I personally have seen several people leave. I am usually the person they lean on to talk about leaving because I don't say anything. I always have the same advice. Do what is best for you! Do what you need to do.

Story 3, I put in a 2 weeks notice at the grocery store I worked at. Ho boy, that didn't end well. Everyone but like... 3 people treated me like garbage until I left. I was already miserable at that place, but it was made worse nothanks to the fact I always picked up my coworkers slack. I was told I don't have to put up with that at my current job, and that everyone has their own tasks and keeps to themselves. Hotel life is way better.

Story 2, I’m wondering if that’s really the policy. The way the return managers boss so quickly agreed without any sign of annoyance and how the returns manager immediately went along with the whole thing even though she was clearly furious and the fact she was so personally upset when she shouldn’t have been losing anything really, I’m thinking there was so kind of shady dealings the OP wasn’t privy to and unintentionally messed up or she was just trying to mess with OP for an ego boost and couldn’t continue the farce with her boss looking over her shoulder.

So for me a entitled manger did the same for me but I didn't get pay back So I was 8 or 7 at the time and me and my mom have to go to a shop to get medication and new Inhaler and when my mom was paying for it the cashier said that her card declined yet when my mom lives at the screen it said approved and when the cashier noticed that it said approved she covered it with her hand and said its declined and called the manager because we where trying to steal medicine from another costumer and was very violent and the manger came out and said that we where stealing and that we had to leave immediately and side note I was having a bad reaction at the time and they both saw that and said that your kid is faking their reaction and so out of motherly instinct my mom slapped the manger and left taking the medication with us but we did get banned but for my mother's opinion it was worth it

Last story: Did it occur to OP at all that in the third world country they said their boyfriend went to that maybe cell service isn't great there or that he's sleeping or working? And that maybe after 18hrs of work, he really is too tired to talk? Especially to someone that sounds as clingy as OP does? You can be online without talking to anyone, you could just be scrolling and watching KZbin. I get being anxious, I have really bad anxiety myself, and I get being sus because he was window shopping, but blasting him with messages and calls when he's on a work trip isn't okay in my opinion
