Ah the land of the pintos I so love getting to see all of them,yikes Talequah looks a little rough with that skin hanging off,these horses are the definition of mustang strong & hopefully by now he’s healed up. I will forever feel a twinge of sadness every time I see them bc Thor held such a vital role in this band he was truly a warrior/icon & he’ll never be forgotten. Zipper looks AMAZING for an 18 year old old man & Tupelo is such a cutie,looking so much like handsome Tupi every day,there’s so much peace to be found out there among the wild ones;oh Traveler🥹it breaks my heart to see him without his family especially Magic & Merlin I hope he’s able to get some mares again though he’s getting up there so who knows,as the wild mustang world turns.🐎🖤🤍✨🔥

Do you find an alarming that out of that big herd of horses there's only 6 foles top? Yet they rounded up all those horses anyway. Hers a fun fact for you. I researched if they dart the same mayor 3 years in a row she will become sterile. Sounds like they found a way to eradicate the Mustangs... I hear a big Oooooops coming but by the it gets to that point there will be nothing that can be done to stop it.

I just finished watching a video done by Wild Horsemanship, she watches the BLM online auctions and shows different horses and the bids on them. This one was about basically the late Thor's daughter, the filly Thora (short version on her name). The final bid on her was...$60,000. Total so far on the McCullough Peak roundup that Karen mentions, is right around $85000. I can imagine that BLM will be even more interested in this band if thats the kind of money they bring in. Have to say it makes me somewhat nervous. I pray they leave these bands alone.

@carleenjohnson9063 that's my favorite mare too---her markings are so stunning, though of course all the horses are beautiful wild creatures. I'm surprised she doesn't have a more unique name to match her dazzling markings--it sounded like "Careen" but couldn't hear the name clearly.

So beautiful❤! I have some questions. Do that stallions like Running Bear that are "Lieutenant" in their herds, can they mate with the mares of the dominant stallion's herd? What do they do? Do they fight with dominant stallions? Do dominant stallions kick out that "teenagers" (bachelors) when they are ready to mate and have their own herds? And how is the distance that you need to keep when you are observing and filming wild horses?
