Lovely vlog once again! Great recipe. "Noix de muscade" is nutmeg - a very Christmassy spice! "Crème fleurette" often refers to unfermented crème fraîche, but the term was first used for the natural cream that forms on the top of milk. This product you used is that "natural cream" - I looked this up on the Monoprix website 🤓. I think in my country we would call it "pouring cream". Each Christmas my sister makes a "pavalova" dessert, because it is my dad's favourite, so that is our tradition. This year my two older sisters also made a wonderful meal of roast turkey and pork, vegetables and plum pudding. I did help a little by preparing prawns - also a tradition - but especially with the eating 😄. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and New Year🎄. Joyeux Noël!!! 🥳 Your baby tree turned out so cute! 🎄🥰 Simplistic yet very chic decorations!!! 👌☺ Oh no, I don't think I could have a gratin dauphinois without the extra cheese!!! 🧀😋🙈 It's always fun to see what other people cook for their festivities! I'm English but born and live in Belgium and here like in France, the 24th's dinner is the main event. Still, we keep it English as a family lunch on the 25th with turkey, stuffing, bread sauce (my favourite!!!), peas and roast potatoes followed by Christmas pudding with brandy (poured then burnt off on top) with ice cream. And as we live in Belgium, we then just wait for all the Bûche de Noël to go on sale and stock up the freezer for future desserts! 😉 Discovered your channel only a couple of weeks ago and I must say you are such a breath of fresh air! Looking forward to more videos in the new year! Bonne Année!!! 🥳

In Germany we celebrate on the 24th and in my family we always eat Raclette (same on new years) but I believe traditionally German Christmas food would be potato salad and sausages. But in my opinion there’s nothing special about that kind of food so we just do Raclette instead :)
