I was one of the Did Not Finish in individuals prelim 2. I was in Purgatory Produce from Hell for 2 hours. The worst 2 hours EVER. But I qualified for pairs finals and did finish with my partner in the time allotted. Let’s just say if I didn’t have a pairs partner and only did Individual round I would probably never do a competition again. My state doesn’t do competitions (yet) so this was my first experience and it didn’t boost my confidence. However, the weekend got better and I enjoyed myself as I was with my tribe of puzzle lovers so that made up for it! (And it was a plus to finish pairs finals!) After my Purgatory Produce from Hell experience I don’t time myself anymore! Congrats on all your accomplishments! It was fun to see you in person! And you got me in the video! Wow! Not only would he intentionally give himself 40 extra seconds in penalty for missing them, but it's also much more difficult to find the right piece when you're missing neighbouring pieces and he could easily end up waisting time trying to find a piece that's litterally not there.

Karen, your channel has already motivated me to have another go at puzzling. The competitions look like great fun so I'm aiming to enter one eventually, but I want to get to the point where I can do so without completely embarrassing myself... of course I'm never actually going to win but I do at least want to avoid being the only person who doesn't finish!
