In some areas grass does not grow well, and their only option, if they want a nice lawn, is to use something like sod grass. This can run around $1/sqft. Suddenly, that 5300 sqft turns into over $5k. This isn't even counting the labor to have someone put it in, and the maintenance until it is established. And beyond that, it is his yard, not a dirtbike track. Respect other people and their property, regardless of whatever your opinion may be.

I assume you are talking about the people and not the vehicles. Imagine a motorcycle doing 100mph and has a car pull across the road, and hits the drivers door. Do you think that could kill someone in the car? Can and has happened, search Google. Also, after an initial hit, cars can swerve or be out of control and crash into something or even head on into an approaching car. The biker is definitely more vulnerable, doesn't mean a biker can't kill someone in a car. Can and has happened, again ask Google.
