Pretty nice to see an older person styling their grey hair in the natural community. And besides the curl house conditioner plug coming soon, I actually appreciate that she is not promoting product names as she goes from creamy condition, gel then to sheen. Just stick with the process and let people use what they have or buy what they want.

To sum natural black hair up, it really seems we thrive with lots of moisture. I am a natural sista, who likes either my loose waves or embracing the coily curls. What I appreciate about your video is the basic common sense approach. I do the same thing on me and my sons hair- wet it, apply leave in conditioner, a little oil, then coil. No need for a large amount of products. I enjoyed your video, and your hair looks lovely.❤

You look more modern and RICHER with the finger coils. It automatically adds at least 5 figures to your virtual net worth. Finger coiling is an option but if you're on the go there are products which specifically stretch and define natural coils. Here's a tip: don't manipulate your hair while you're blow drying defined coils. Finger combing your hair while you blow dry it creates frizz.

Hi Karen. This is a really great tutorial, it's detailed and straight to the point. Your hair is beautiful. I have been natural for 11 years now, but I was still blow drying and flat ironing my hair. My hair was growing and doing good, but last summer, I started using a product that didn't agree with my hair. Also, I really didn't know how to properly care for my hair. I noticed my daughter watched lots of tutorials. Her hair has always been a nice length, but one day I watched her blow drying her natural hair. She rarely applies heat to her hair, but that time I couldn't help but notice the length of her hair. She was always telling me that I was damaging my hair, but I didn't listen. Finally, I decided it was time to listen and now I'm watching tutorials. I've learned so much from wacthing these tutorials. My hair is 4b and mostly 4c, it is very densed, and also low porosity. Can my hair be twisted like this and not tangle? Thank you for the tutorial.
@KarenofCurlHouse3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Donna! Yes. Repeated straightening of your hair can lead to damage, as the heat will break down the protein structure of your hair, making your hair weak and prone to breakage (thereby not achieving optimal length). I suggest you flat iron 'in moderation'. And its not too late! Hair grows everyday!!!! In terms of this video, I absolutely recommend you try it on your hair. It is a simply technique or twirling your hair around your fingers. The goal is to make sure you hair is properly detangled before apply the styling product. Give it a try!

Good morning, I am thankful for you showing this on grey hair, I am just getting " a strand of grey" 😄and I really want to wear my natural hair, I keep it in extension braids alot, long of short new subbie and I am glad to see mature beautiful women doing this and its encouraging and motivating to try again. Blessings 😊!

I finger coil with aloe water and conditioning cream, let it dry overnight, then in the morning, mist with water & oil, then unfurl the coils, style and jam my edges.
