Batalik Sector: 3 मई 1999 को पाकिस्तानी घुसपैठ का सबसे पहले पता बटालिक में ही पता चला था. करगिल युद्ध में ब्रिगेड कमांडर थे ब्रिगेडियर देवेंद्र सिंह (रि.). बटालिक की जंग पूरी प्लानिंग के साथ लड़ी गई.

कारगिल हीरोज को सत सत प्रणाम। ये जितने भी कारगिल के कमाण्डर अपनी अपनी उपलब्धि बता रहे लेकिन एयर फोर्स का कोई नाम भी नही ले रहा। एयरफोर्स के बगैर कारगिल जितना नामुमकिन था।कैसे पुराने गोले बारूद के साथ एयर फोरस ने अपने लङाकु विमानो को modify करके बम गिराए वो कोई नही बता रहा।

It is a matter of concern and shame why Army Top Brass does not learn its lessons from Kargil of always fail to anticipate worst possible scenario and why they do not use heavy weaponry helicopters, drones and artillery initially and they always use soldiers and rifles till they suffer heavy casualties and eventually end up using heavy weaponry at the end after loosing precious life of army soldiers. The top brass of Army always have attitude of a laid back south block bureaucrat and the junior officers and jawans pay price.

Corruption amongst armed forces officers was in rampant at that time. It won't be a surprise if at later date it's discovered that some of them were bribed for not taking timely action against Pakistani intruders..
