Quite interesting indeed. She sounds so tired. You can hear it in her voice. You can hear confliction in her voice as well. I wish them all the best.

This was 10 years ago....I hope things are easier for you now! Oh, and that DIVINE trio in Act 1 is "Soave sia al vento", basically 'may breezes gently blow'.....I have both played this (clarinet) and sung it (soprano)..not at the MET...and it ALWAYS takes you away from where you are at that moment...tearing up with you at this moment. 🙂

classical music is not a job you leave at the office when quittin' time comes around. It demands passion. It's a vocation and it touches everything you do including raising kids--for good or ill. But there is so much wasteful noise put out into the world everyday that these people should get a medal right along with the national park rangers. (Excuse me. My love of Opera NATURALLY makes my comments lengthy.)

Thank you for this. I am working on a novel featuring an opera cellist. Could you publish anymore videos on the subject?
