Shabby Chic Collage Challenge with Julie & Leigh

Help, I don't normally do shabby chic! 😱
I am taking part in an open collage collaboration with Julie (Art & Junk Journals with Julie) and Leigh (Leigh's Art Studio). They will be hosting this every month and anyone can join in. This month's prompts (they roll a dice!) are: 1. Shabby Chic 2. Storytime (kids), 3. Green/Teal 4. Textured/Embossed/Shiny/Metallic 5. Person 6. Dots Dashes Patterns 7. Square/Rectangle/Oblong 8. SWAP or BONUS: Scrapbook Paper, Stationery, Digitals, Comp Paper

Hi Kari, I love love that, so suggestive of shabby chic, a beautiful masterboard, it will make some lovely tags? when you can bear to cut it up. Using the text for the story is very clever, love all these great ideas.

I think it's great . And keep it that size is good idea. Easier for storage and things are nice when u can see the whole thing . Love the colors

Hi Kari, love this masterboard. Your colours are very pretty, especially the green. I noticed your nails straight away and thought you may have painted them for the video. Love the music you chose to work to - I think it helped ground you into a shabby chic frame of mind which worked beautifully! We are expecting a Winter storm warning through the weekend with deeper cold and more snow than is usually predicted for us. So glad I don’t have to worry about Tillie being out in -32 C weather. She can stay in with me and sit on top of ALL the papers - for being feral she learned that fast. Maybe I need to add a touch of cat to my shabby chic! Great demonstrations as always! I love how you format your video. I am giving art,junk,journaling a go. You give a straight forward explanation and then get to it with music and then a great closing. I have a really hard time with videos that the presenter talks all the way through. There is nothing wrong with that,but I have the attention span os a gnat! Thanks for great ideas. I love the idea of a prompt list.

Very pretty Kari..I love shabby chic or vintage but I seem to lean towards grunge (lot of bronze, gold, etc)I have a masterboard video coming out in a couple weeks...I am for the first time actually ahead on my videos. I wish I had photocopied my masterboard like you did before cutting it up...It is a good idea. I watch Leigh's Art Studio videos and will have to check out Art &Junk Journals with Julie. Collabs look like fun.

I like the sound of grunge though!
