It's just overdose of spices & oil ...you will find 10x better nonveg food in Jharkhand, Odisha, Bengal,Karnataka and Maharashtra ... true Indian food. Bhakhri,Ragi Mudde and local rice 👍

As an NRI, I've always cherished Karim's food since my college days, even before moving to the US. I've consistently praised it to my son, promising to take him there one day. Yesterday, we finally went to Jama Masjid Karim's, we actually planned a day to go there from Indirapuram, but I was deeply disappointed. The seating was subpar, the food was below average, or I'd even say "overhyped," and it was pricier compared to other places offering better taste. I felt let down and embarrassed in front of my son, who had high expectations.

Agreed ! People from all over the world come to Karim's for great food. But the food is no where near the expectations. Several eateries in Kolkata make better dishes than Karim's nowadays.
