I worked as a bassist for Royal Caribbean in '96. We didn't have to do anything except perform and rehearse. Maybe 20 hours per week. Everybody just got drunk all the time.

Wrong, if you've been hired for entertainment, then that's your job. Entertainment, this is like hiring an engineer and having them sweep the grounds every morning. Stop letting corporations over work us to save a buck. (Not saying she was overworked, just that they put more responsibilities on staff to avoid hiring more people.) I work in hospitality, do NOT do more than you are being payed for. No workers, no work, no money. Stop it. Know your worth.

You may want to do more research before claiming her life is your dream. The ships are beautiful, food is amazing but this young lady works long days, 7 days each week with only a few hours off each day often for multiple months on end. Other than other ship staff you have No social or family life. I don’t know how the entertainment is paid but the bulk of the service staff are on the low end of pay. Definitely a job for young people.

its pretty normal, a show lasts 30 mins so thats 1 1/2h per day of work plus makreup and stuff so 2 to 3h, what do you do the rest of the day? just chilling on the pool ? i think 1 to 2 h restock some balls is something someone can do.
