Karl Xlls attack on Fredriksten Fortress in Desember 1718

in Desember 1718, Karl Xlls attacked the Fredriksten Fortress in Halden . During the siege of the Fortress , he probably gets a Norwegian kardesk bullet in the head and dies. The king,s death marks the beginning of the end of the Great Nordic War.
No one knows who fired the cannon that killed the Swedish warrior king , which has given rise to many myths surrounding the king,s death .
Fredriksten Fortress , often besieged , but never defeated we tend to say in Halden . Without Fredriksten Fortress and Halden, history could have looked very different today .
The sacrifices that were made at the ,battle for the citizens defense , are a piece of solid war history in NORWAY .
So important that Fredriksten ( HALDEN ) is the only town mentioned in the National Anthem( verse 4).
Certainly there were not many of us, but we still reached ,
when we were tried a few times , and it was at stake for me would rather the country burn than fall, just remember what happened at FREDRIKSHALD.

yes very nice place, about 1:30 hour. yes there is, I think there are 3 campsites, but you can search on google to be sure.Fredriksten camping .
