I'm gonna have to do this route sometime. Astarion not being able to just manipulate Karlach with sex like he does with everyone else makes their relationship weirdly wholesome and seems like it would actually be good for both of them.

This is so awkward, sweet and hilarious at the same time. I just love to see him reacting to situations he's not used to - hugging, being appreciated by more than his looks, caring for someone, people treating him with kindness and respect, showing mercy, being allowed to make his own decisions etc. Here he literally have someone he tries to manipulate for his own needs but cannot use his traditional "device" (if we even can call sex a device) since that would burn him alive. I might do that route on my own since I'm curious how that relationship would progress (except that damn ending with Karlach dying or going to Avernus. Somehow I cannot imagine him chasing demons in Hell).

I agree with the comments, I love the dynamic very much because astarion is not able to use his body as an instrument to manipulate and is forced to think in another way. The most interesting character devolpements happen when they have to think out of their box. I just feel a bit sorry for Karlach because I feel like she deserves someone who has more understanding for her condition. And I don't think Astarion would be able to provide that. @@anna-friedavandyk its mostly the same except he smiles more and doesnt hold your hand after the confession. But yeah the graveyard scene is the only time you can sleep with him if you get her engine upgrade

id imagine he says her name this often because this is one of the only origin romances that cant use the traditional astarion romance lines, so they had to write ones specific to her.

Карлах это просто комбо - большая горячая (буквально) женщина, но при этом такая булочка)) Горташ её предал, ей поставили двигатель и 10 лет она была боевой единицей Зариэль, но при первой же возможности свалила, рискнув запрыгнуть на наутилоид... и продолжает быть оптимисткой))) 🥰

Он пришел ночью кусаться, она ему сказала, что в принципе не против помочь, но он сгорит 😅 он ушел в лес охотиться, но не обиделся, наоборот был благодарен, что она его не прогнала

**spoiler** this ends up being quite bad later on when he’s ascended though… he thinks he’s untouchable, tries to bite her to make her his spawn despite her warnings how dangerous it is but he bites her anyway and then blames it on her like it’s her fault. just another proof how bad the ascendant ending is

I was thinking of doing this romance, but does anyone know the spawn ending? Stop reading here if you don't want spoilers please... . . . . . . . I know that Karlach has to return to Avernus or die and I also know spawn Astarion burns up and has to run away before Karlach's choice is resolved. Does that mean you two are automatically separated at the end or can he go to Avernus with you? I really need to know so I don't waste all those hours on the saddest ending ever 😅😢

if Astarion ascends, he will leave her, since he will not be able to bite her and make her his slave. but I didn’t see the ending where he wasn’t ascended, that’s also interesting 🤔
