I actually clean the refrigerator a couple of days before getting groceries. I also do the grocery list at the same time and check and see if anything is going to expire within the month and add that to the list. I also use a Black Sharpie Permanent Marker and write all my Expiration Dates on each item before I put them away. Takes a little longer, but then I'm not having to check the dates all the time. I put them on the side the items will be facing out on all groceries. Helps in the long run. :)

Hi Karla, glad that everyone is doing well now! We are driving down to Utah tomorrow for a week to visit my husband's Dad & brother, so we are getting ready for that. It's nice to visit family & friends, but it's Always so Good to come back to your own house for sure!!! I try to clean my fridge at least once a month, I know that I should do it more often, but my fridge doesn't get so dirty. Usually, when we get home from a trip, I like to unpack the next day. Hi Karla. When I'm in a good routine I clear out and spot clean my fridge the day before I go food shopping. I then deep clean my fridge once a month. However when I'm not in a good routine, like now, my fridge still gets cleared out fairly regularly but usually as I'm trying to put the fresh food away and notice that something needs throwing out and cleaning it can be a bit all over the place. I really need to get myself back into a good routine 😔

Glad everyone is feeling better!! We had the bad virus this past spring break. Our 16 year old brought it home. He slept for almost 24 hours straight. That was so scary! Then on Easter I started feeling weird and just not feeling good. I ate very little and went to bed. I was in bed for over 48 hours before I started to feel a little better. And just as I started to feel normal again, my husband came down with it. Then our 10 year old stated to feel bad. But not nearly as bad as the rest of us. Somehow our 19 and 9 year olds did not catch it. So Easter, my birthday and spring break got completely ruined because of it. I was so upset.

Coming back from holiday my unpacking varies. If we get home early enough in the day and I'm not too tired from the travelling then I will unpack on the day or at least the next day if we arrive home later in the evening. However there are times when I'm just too exhausted and so it can be a few days before I feel up to it. All that said though it has been quite a while since we have travelled anywhere for a holiday due to the covid chaos of the last couple of years.

Unpack? Definitely as soon as I get through the door. And as I unpack I start the washing. I am a pain but love to clean the house before we leave and then when we come back the suitcases and everything makes it feel cluttered and dirty again.so I unpack and everything goes to its spot.

💛 🌻 Glad your all feeling better and that being sick didn't take the joy out of being with your family and you still enjoyed your trip. I have to say the $400 at costco didn't surprise me. I spend atleast $300 every time I go and it seems like I don't even get that much. I go to Sam's club alot as well but I don't feel like i spend as much since i use scan and go and i can see my total adding up and I will think twice before adding unnecessary stuff to my cart. 🌝

I clean out my fridge just once a fortnight however there is now only me and my husband as my kids are grown up; I always unpack as soon as I get home I just can’t leave it 😂 the shopping I would imagine cost at least 250dollars but, live in England so who knows 😝

Hi Claudia, so awesome to have you here. Girl yess I don't like throwing food away. I just had to throw out a bunch of fruit too. I'm trying to see how many refrigerated fruits I should have on hand. Sometimes I just get too many.

I always unpack right away, sort the laundry and start a machine right away. I unpack everything, clean all the suitcases and bags and put them away.

I feel you on forgetting to clean something out when you're about to leave. I try doing that, and have forgotten to clean the sink. Dishes were in the dishwasher; but I forgot the residue in the sink / garbage disposal. Eeewww! I'm like your husband with the unpacking. You and my husband are similar. I am usually the one to move his suitcase and clean out just the clothing. But he's the hard worker with the military. I'm the housewife with a weird OCD problem. 😂❤️❤️ Guessing the grocery haul cost: $500 ish .... Wow!! 406!! Ouch. I hear you on things being pricey. 😲 😷🤒🤢🤮. Sorry to hear beautiful! ❤️❤️

Hi Brenda! I totally get it about the sink residue! The stuff in the fridge was gross and I actually forgot to start the dishwasher so the dishes in there were gross. Lol I give you kudos for unpacking right away! And just so grateful to be well now. It was a doozy with the babies so I'm so grateful they are last that. ❤️

@@karlassweetlife I don't have kids, but when my nieces got sick, my heart hurt. It is never easy being sick as an adult, but it's way worse for littles. They don't know how to life express what is wrong, so crying and throwing tantrums are their way. Poor dears. ❤️

💛💛💛 I was here until the end. Hello Karla, I’m Alicia from SF, CA. Your Costco total scared me. Lol no kidding I will be heading to our local Costco in a few hours to get a few items. OMG, diapers and baby formula has increased since I last brought them 14 years ago. Soon you will pass that stage and you will save so much money. I try not to spend over $220-$250 when I shop at Costco but it’s a Candyland store to me I want everything I see even if I don’t need it I still want it. 😂😂 But it’s the budget thingy for me. Lol that would be me!! The hard think about keeping things in the suitcase, I kept having to go through it to find something cause the kids needed or wanted something. That's when my husband did it that afternoon we got home and tackled it.

@@karlassweetlife Karla i rested some, I was in such extream pain it woke me so at 3am (sunday morning) i was washing dishes trying to work off the pain in my wrist my thinking was if one place dont hurt i'll be ok it was for a little while. Im trying to get my old body back with the abailty to maybe go back to work part time waiting to hear from my Dr. My brother now lives in Texas on the side closes to Arizona,I did not really relize how big Texas was ( a map dont do it Justice) Enjoy your week making lots of memories as a family they last a life time. Seeing Carter crawl so sweet. Doesn't seem like it's been 8 months already. Neither one of my girls crawled on all fours.. my eldest butt scooted and my youngest did this monkey crawl.. one knee on the floor with her hands and she would use her toes of her other foot to move.

I went a little over with my guess, I guessed $525. lol It's crazy how expensive groceries have gotten. I went to the store a few hours ago and a family size cereal was $5 and change, they use to be $3.something.😒 💛🌼🍋⭐️
